Our Apartment

Our apartment is seriously so tiny. When you walk in, there is our living room and kitchen combined, with just a half wall separating the two. You continue through the kitchen and then there is the door for the bathroom and the door for the bedroom. And that completes our tour for the apartment. Honestly, though, I love it. I love that I have to clean so little and be responsible for the tidyness of such a small place. I love that I had to decorate literally, like, two walls. But it is so cozy and just perfect for us right now. Who knows when a little one will come into the picture, but for now we are happy settling into our small abode. :) Here is a side picture of my husband and I at our Reheasal dinner. Isn't he lovely?

The Bedroom

I feel like the best gift one could give to a newly married woman is a gift card to Home Goods. The first time I ever walked into that store I was in awe of all the amazing, yet cheap decor they had! I bought this amazing comforter, and these pillows there. There's just something about an all white comforter with white pillows, white sheets and an accent colored throw pillow.

Another thing that I absolutely love in my bedroom is this tree with white lights. The white lights make for a lovely ambiance in the evening while the both of us are winding down, navigating our iPads or reading a book. :)

Our apartment is still a work in progress, but I love it so far and I can't wait to blog more about it.

Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was incredible. We felt so blessed to be able to go on such an elaborate trip with such little money. We honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We stayed at a friend's house that had a view of the entire Banderas Bay. Each morning we woke up to whales and each night would end with spectacular sunsets. We hiked up to waterfalls, explored tide pools with exotic fish and sea urchins, ate the most amazing street tacos, and just took in Mexico for all it is worth. It was a time where we could be together as a new couple and enjoy each other's presence without the stress of "real life". It was a lovely time. :) The day after we returned home, we were slammed with a foot of snow. Goodbye Mexico, hello New Jersey. Womp womp wompppp. I must say, though, it felt nice coming home and settling into real life with my love.

The only negative thing about the trip? My husband went paddle boarding around the Marieta Islands (pictured below), and his wedding band fell off his finger, never to be seen again. One week to the day we got married. Oh well, now a part of us will always be in Mexico.

Wedding Day

January 11, 2014 was the best day of my life. It was the day I married Chris, the most loving, caring, gentle man I have ever met. Our wedding was incredible. Every detail of our rustic, winter themed wedding was perfect. It rained, but that did not put a damper on our happiness. It's only been 3 weeks since our special day, and I'm still on cloud 9 just thinking about it.
